Why we're here

There are over 12 million kirana stores in India. Most still source the way they did decades ago — shut the shop, travel 30–50 km to a wholesale market, lose half a day, and return with the same brands, at the same prices, that every nearby shop already stocks.

Jo milta hai wahi bechte hain— they sell whatever they can get.

We are changing that. Kirana Club reaches the stores most companies do not — not just in metros, but in small towns and villages. We help retailers access choice, differentiation, trusted information, and tools to run genuinely better stores.

Why kiranas need a new layer

Large retailers have access to assortment planning, differentiated products, data, promotions, reliable supply, and brand relationships. Most kirana stores do not.

They operate with limited visibility, fragmented sourcing, uneven access to brands, and little negotiating power. Yet they are still the backbone of Indian retail.

Kirana Club exists to bring them the choice, information, tools, and access that modern retail has had for years.

Our story

From shelves to the whole ecosystem.

Kirana Club started from a simple insight: the kirana store is one of the most important but least understood parts of Indian retail.

Before Kirana Club, we built AI systems that helped leading FMCG companies understand general trade shelves at scale. We processed millions of store images and worked closely with brands trying to solve distribution and visibility problems.

But the deeper problem was not just shelf visibility. It was the gap between retailers and the ecosystem around them — information, products, schemes, brands, and trust.
