About the role

This is a backend-leaning fullstack role, and a high-volume learning one. You'll build and ship features end to end — from the data model through the API to the screen someone actually uses — writing a lot of code and getting a lot of review. You'll be trusted with production early and work on real problems from your first week. The goal for your first year is simple: to become someone the team can hand an ambiguous problem to.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship well-scoped features end to end, including the data model, the API, and the interface that consumes it.
  • Deploy to production several times a week, starting with small changes and growing into larger ones.
  • Debug production issues by reading logs, traces and stack traces, and get to the root cause rather than to a workaround.
  • Build the frontend for the features you own — clean, usable, with the loading, empty and error states actually handled rather than left for later.
  • Write tests that would genuinely catch the bug you're worried about.
  • Participate in code review on both sides: have your work critiqued, and learn to critique others'.
  • Ask questions early and often. Being stuck quietly for a day is the only real mistake here.

What we're looking for

  • At least 1 year of full-time experience.
  • Strong fundamentals in at least one programming language. We don't mind which.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and relational data modelling.
  • Comfort building a working, decent-looking interface for what you build. You don't need to have been a frontend engineer, but you should be able to tell good UI from bad and care about the difference.
  • Evidence that you've built something real and finished it — a project with actual users, a substantial internship contribution, or an open-source PR that survived review.
  • Debugging instinct: when something breaks, you form a hypothesis instead of changing things at random.
  • Comfort using AI coding tools, and equal comfort being asked to explain any line of the output.
