About the role

We're looking for someone to own talent acquisition end to end: build the sourcing engine, run the evaluation framework, and bring forward shortlists that don't need a second pass. This isn't a coordination role. You'll be trusted to make the calls we'd make ourselves.

What you'll do

  • Own full-cycle hiring end to end — from scoping the role with a hiring manager to closing the offer
  • Build a sourcing strategy that doesn't depend on inbound — outbound, referrals, niche communities, and the right channel for each role
  • Screen every application against a structured framework: career-highlight signal first, then pedigree, job stability, CTC fit, and AI fluency
  • Read long-form written responses yourself and bring forward only candidates who show real intent and clarity in how they write — this is the highest-signal part of how we evaluate
  • Run structured interviews, coordinate panels, and keep loops moving — no candidate sits in limbo for weeks
  • Own offer negotiation and candidate experience from first touch to joining
  • Build the playbook as you go — scorecards, sourcing channels, interview structure — since there's no recruiting team to inherit one from

What we're looking for

  • 4–7 years in full-cycle talent acquisition, ideally at a startup or fast-scaling company — not just large-company process-following
  • Has personally owned hiring for judgment-heavy, non-engineering roles — product, growth, strategy, GTM — not only high-volume technical recruiting
  • A strong pedigree yourself, academic or professional — you can recognize a strong outlier candidate because you've operated like one
  • Stayed long enough at your last few roles to actually build something — no string of sub-year stints
  • AI-native — uses AI tools daily for sourcing, screening, and drafting, not as an afterthought
  • Comfortable making real judgment calls from dense written responses, not just keyword-matching resumes
  • Based in Bangalore, ready to work from office
  • High ownership — you're building the function, not running someone else's playbook
